Passion meets necessity, meets social action. Woodstock microHomes was born out of founder Rob Goldman’s search for a code-compliant, affordable building to use as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU). Such a structure simply didn’t exist, so Rob brought together a phenomenal team to design, engineer, and build one.
Rob was planning an Airbnb business on his property just outside of Woodstock, New York. He spent years researching tiny houses, RVs, yurts, cottages, modular homes, you name it. After consulting with architects, contractors, state and local building authorities, planning boards, engineers, plumbers, electricians and the Board of Health, he found nothing that satisfied his needs. Not one to give up, Rob decided to partner with a cutting-edge factory in China that willingly modified and radically improved their existing product to fit his demanding specs. Rob’s unrelenting efforts have made Woodstock microHomes a revolutionary leader in alternative, affordable housing.
